Meeting in Guelmim to discuss the challenges of tea importers in the region

The tea industry is a vital sector of the Moroccan economy, and the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun is witnessing an increasing demand for the import of this famous substance. In this context, an important meeting was held at the Chamber’s regional headquarters in Guelmim to discuss the challenges faced by tea importers in the region.

The meeting, which brought together the main tea importers in the region, was chaired by the President of the Chamber, in the presence of a group of Chamber members and relevant officials. Discussions centered on the difficulties and challenges faced by this category of traders in the supply and marketing of tea.

Among the challenges highlighted were high import costs, legislation and regulations affecting the import and export process, as well as logistical and administrative difficulties facing importers.

During the meeting, participants exchanged views and experiences, and identified practical steps that can be taken to alleviate the pressures facing tea importers in the region. Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors to address common challenges and achieve the sustainable development of the tea industry in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region.

This meeting exemplifies the efforts made to support and promote the commercial sector in the region, which aims to boost the local economy and create new job opportunities, thus contributing to the prosperity and economic stability of the region’s residents.
