The Chamber’s contribution to the special fund for managing the effects of the earthquake that hit the Kingdom of Morocco amounts to one million dirhams.

Following the earthquake that struck certain areas of our country on the night of September 8, 2023, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, expresses his deep sadness and concern for what has happened to our brothers in these areas who are dear to us, and presents on his own behalf and on behalf of all the members and executives of the Chamber and all its nationals, including traders, industrialists and service providers, their most sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and their loved ones, wishing them mercy and forgiveness, a speedy recovery for the injured, as well as patience and comfort for the bereaved.

While all the activities of the Chamber appreciate the initiative of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him and grant him victory, to draw up an urgent program to care for those affected by creating a “special fund to manage the effects of the earthquake that hit the Kingdom of Morocco”, and addressing his high instructions to all those involved and those responsible to provide immediate assistance to the families affected and to implement measures relating to rehabilitation and construction in the areas affected by this natural disaster of unprecedented effects, as soon as possible.

In response to this ordeal and the damage it has caused, and in answer to the nation’s appeal, the Chamber has decided to contribute one million dirhams to the “Fonds spécial de gestion des effets du tremblement de terre ayant touché le Royaume du Maroc”.

While the Chamber highly commends the efforts made by the Moroccan people, from the very first moments of this natural disaster, through the intensified efforts of all actors, notably citizens, civil society, central and local authorities, the ministerial departments concerned, the security services, the Royal Armed Forces and all members of the Security agencies, the Royal Gendarmerie and the Auxiliary Forces.

The Chamber calls on all economic players, whatever their field of activity and specialization, as industrialists, traders and service providers, to support and contribute to these national efforts.

May God protect our country and our King, and grant mercy to the victims and the injured.
