The conference extends its thanks to the Kingdom of Morocco, its King, government, and people for hosting the current session of the Arab Food Security Conference held in the city of Marrakech on October 2-3, 2023. We appreciate the efforts made by Moroccan institutions, particularly the University of Moroccan Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Services, in providing the necessary means and warm hospitality.
Despite the current challenges facing Morocco, including the rehabilitation of regions affected by the earthquake in the Al Haouz region, Moroccan institutions have dedicated significant resources to facilitate and ensure the success of the conference since its initial preparations in the beautiful city of Marrakech.
We express our deepest thanks to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who graciously honored this conference with his patronage.
Our gratitude also goes to the ministers of the Moroccan government who honored the conference with their presence and contributions during the opening session of this exceptional Arab event.
The conference conveys its thanks and appreciation to the University of Moroccan Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Services, under the leadership of Mr. Lahoucine Alioua, as well as the members of the board of directors and the executive team for their excellent organization, generous hospitality, and cooperation with the Arab Chamber and partners involved in the organization, contributing to the remarkable success of this conference.
The organization of this event in Marrakech, Morocco, provided a close look at the Moroccan experience in light of its current economic development, especially in the agricultural and food sectors. Morocco stands out with important assets in agriculture, livestock, fisheries, and food processing due to its fertile soils, advanced industrial infrastructure, strategic location, and modern transportation network, positioning it to play a crucial role in diversifying production and marketing, in addition to its significance as a logistics hub.
